Introducing Caitlin Horigan!

Meet the newest member of our staff here: Caitlin Horigan

Caitlin is our new Gap Semester Program Instructor, and will be living and working alongside our fall gap cohort.  Her bio is below; it’s easy to see what a great fit she is for our program. She describes herself below. Welcome, Caitlin!

Caitlin is a white, queer, able-bodied, cis-woman living in occupied Wabanaki territory. She is on a journey of learning about her ancestral lineages while deepening her relationship with the skills and traditions of her ancestors and the people indigenous to the land she lives with now.   Caitlin facilitates Permaculture Design courses, bringing a unique perspective on the social applications of permaculture principles. Additionally, she is an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 yoga teacher with over 1000 hours of teaching experience. Caitlin has completed a Wilderness First Responder course, is currently certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and is pursuing a Recreational Maine Guide license.  Caitlin Horigan has been mentoring youth in a wide variety of settings and various countries for over 18 years, and is committed to making her work more accessible to marginalized populations. When she is not working with youth Caitlin enjoys exploring the woods, following animal trails, creating art, running barefoot, doing yoga, dancing, and getting to know other than human beings.
