Julia was born and raised on Long Island, New York and attended the Waldorf School of Garden City from grades 6-12. Her first time at Camp Glen Brook was the summer prior to her first year at WSGC, when she attended the summer camp program in order to meet friends that were soon to be her classmates. From her first few days at Camp Glen Brook, Julia fell in love with its natural beauty and peacefulness. From that point on, she looked forward to her time in New Hampshire, attending Summer Camp, Falcon Camp, Family Camp, and annual school trips. Some of the fondest memories of her youth are from her time at Camp Glen Brook climbing the ropes course, jumping in the lake in the early morning, and running the Hobart after a delicious meal.
Julia attended Colby College in Maine and graduated with a degree in Educational Studies: Human Development. Her passion for education took her to Denver, Colorado where she worked in both public and private schools as an educator and furthered her own learning by getting her Master in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado, Denver. Julia has a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for young people and is thrilled to be working in service of a place that means so much to her! In her free time, Julia enjoys knitting, spinning yarn, and going on hikes and runs with her dog, Tofu.
