Garden City Housing
Housing
For the Waldorf School of Garden City’s Glen Brook class trips, students are housed in bunk rooms in the historic Main House (built in 1776) and Wing. These living areas are attached to the main gathering spaces, including the Dining Hall. Each area has bunk rooms with rooms for the teacher/chaperone directly across the hall. Students are housed according to their gender identity, inclusive of gender-expansive identities. Rooms and bathrooms have private spaces for changing and toileting. Please note that the School may not reveal a student’s transgender or non-binary status, birth name, sex assigned at birth, or medical history to classmates, parents, teachers, and others without their consent, as it would be a violation of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact Kelly O’Halogan, Faculty Chair.
