Camp Glen Brook hires one person as a Ropes Course Instructor and the Trip Coordinator for our two wilderness trips programs each summer. The ideal candidate will work well independently and as the member of a team. Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage trip logistics, details, vehicles, gear, and permits. The coordinator will be the point person for the arrival and departure of each wilderness trip and will walk through a check list with the leaders of each group.  This person will also facilitate our oldest camper groups' use of various challenge elements, including our low and high ropes course (some training is available at Glen Brook- call for details).

Specific responsibilities include:  ensuring vehicle safety, filing for permit compliance, coordinating the restock of first aid kits, repairing and maintaining gear, fueling camp stoves, packing food and gear, keeping the trip shed clean, organized and stocked, and debriefing each trip with the program director. In addition to the above responsibilities, the trip coordinator will organize and lead our Wednesday all-camp hiking trip.  When wilderness trips are not going in or out of camp the Trip Coordinator will help with general camp maintenance, and coverage, covering days off for trip staff, and repairing or coordinating the repair of gear and vehicles\

Additional responsibilities include helping the camp community at meal times, special events, and some evening activities. (Please note: this job may fulfill college internship requirements)

Salary: $1,800-2,500 based on experience
