WSGC 7th Grade Trip Photos 2024

Grade 7 from the Waldorf School of Garden City left Glen Brook with an embodied understanding of force and motion. They completed physics-based team-building challenges and engaged thoughtfully in the collaborative process. Swinging high and low, they showed courage and challenged themselves individually and collectively. Homesteading tools such as bosun’s chairs, farm carts, and wood-splitting wedges gave students a hands-on understanding of the mechanical advantage of simple and compound machines. There were plenty of opportunities to make connections to their Renaissance main lesson, and of course to give back to Glen Brook and future visiting classes through stewardship. We’re looking forward to seeing Grade 7 again this spring!
