Creativity is a catalyst for inspiration.  Inspiration is a state of being connected to something larger than oneself and imbued with the belief that what one is imagining may be possible.  At this time in history we need to be deeply inspired to solve the critical issues of our time.

The arts inspire, foster personal expression, and develop collaborative skills.

At Glen Brook when we create with others and the natural world, we quickly discover that there are forces that we cannot control.  We exercise both our will to influence the process and our ability to be flexible in our thinking and desires.  The more we invest ourselves, the deeper our sense of satisfaction.  Yet, at the same time, we must be detached from controlling the final product.  In the end, we often are surprised and delighted by the outcome of our efforts.

No matter what the result, we have learned and grown as individuals.
