Camp Glen Brook runs a coed Waldorf-based summer camp for children between the ages of 8 and 16. The camp is open to the public. Our summer camp consists of two three-week sessions for all ages. In addition, we have 7, 10 and 14 day sessions for our youngest campers (3rd and 4th graders). We seek to inspire and empower children and teens with a sense of both comfort in the world and a sense of responsibility toward involved citizenship.
Summer camp (for campers completing 9th & 10th grade) includes outdoor exploration and games; music programs; woodshop and numerous sports. Click here to read about our activities and schedule. Campers live in groups of 6-8 with counselors in one of the farmhouses or a cabin. All quarters have bathrooms with hot showers.
The Falcon Program (ages 15 to 16) trains young people in self-reliance and leadership skills through a combination of stewardship activities and a wilderness trip program.
Enrollment is up to 80 campers per session. Admissions are rolling; however, returning campers have priority re-enrollment through December 1. Because of our high return rate, some groups may experience waiting lists.
Glen Brook is fully accredited by the American Camping Association. Glen Brook was founded in 1946 by a teacher from the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City.
