05-21 8th Grade Philadelphia Waldorf School
The Philadelphia Waldorf School's 8th grade just finished a six night, seven day Glen Brook trip focused on canoeing. They spent their first few days sleeping in Glen Brook's newly improved Falcon Camp and learning canoe skills nearby: first on our lake, then on Lake Nubanusit, and then paddling down a stretch of the Ashuelot River. Once confident in their abilities, the group packed all their gear and food for a three day trip down part of the Connecticut River.
They had a great week filled with canoeing long miles, swimming, cooking, laughing, and playing. They were an exceptionally energetic and fun class, and we wish them all the best as they graduate and move on to high school.
