05-18 9th Grade Waldorf School of Garden City

The Waldorf School of Garden City's 9th grade just spent the week camping out in the woods on Glen Brook's new tent platforms- cooking all their own food, carrying their drinking water, and sleeping away the rainy nights in their tents.  The group spent a half day canoeing down a stretch of the nearby Ashuelot River, and prepared to participate in our high ropes course.  On Thursday, the class spent the day rotating between work periods of dipping shingles and working in the garden, and adventuring on the ropes course.  We were impressed that every single student pushed their comfort zone on the course, trying something new and difficult.  We look forward to seeing everybody in September for our backpacking trip in the White Mountains.
