10-26 7th & 8th Grade Girls

The Waldorf School of Garden City's 7th & 8th Grade Girls just spent a week of fun, hard work, new skills, and good conversation.  The girls spent their daylight hours building a new wood shed, splitting wood, using axes and saws for forestry, forging coat hooks out of iron, building fires, and practicing archery.  The evenings were spent in intensive small group discussions.  We ended the week with a great big bonfire and singing camp songs.  We look forward to having these two classes back in the spring: the 8th grade for making maple syrup, and the 7th grade to do low ropes and learn about mechanics on the farm.
