The trusses are all in place. These "scissor trusses" will increase the span of the roof to 32 feet and make the ceiling inside almost 10 feet high. The old dining room's ceilings were so low that the current director--none too tall--could touch it with his fingers, while the last director--none too short--could poke a hole in the tiles with his head (well, maybe not quite, but pretty close). You can see in the view looking back toward the Main House the size difference between the old dining room profile and that of the new trusses.
