The Falcons returned from the Moose River Bow last evening, reporting on their great adventures in the Maine Wilderness. They paddled some 60 miles in a loop that included whitewater, idyllic, secluded lakes with uninhabited shores, and some spectacular waterfalls (that they portaged around). Their hand-carved paddles worked well, and they returned cheerful - ready to begin their solos this morning. Meanwhile, here at camp we've had hot, humid days, perfect for adventures in the lake - swamping canoes on purpose, in particular. The Eagles spent the mornng at the ropes course, nice and cool up on the hill in the shade of the tall pines. We now have tournaments (ping pong, knock-out basketball, tennis).
