Camp Glen Brook's first summer session is under way. Campers arrived Sunday and were greeted in the new barn with a warm welcome by the counselors and staff. Foxes and Otters are on a nature hike this afternoon; Raccoons are in the barn singing and practicing their skits; Eagles departed this morning for their hiking trip to Mt. Ascutney in Vermont; Deer are practicing their swimming strokes in the pond; while the Falcons prepare for their Five-day White Mountain hike, which starts Wednesday. The Falcons' canoe paddles are almost done. Their second trip will be paddling the Moose River Bow, a seven-day stretch of river and lake paddling in western Maine. The Falcons are adjusting to cooking their own meals and, by sunrise of the first full day of camp, had already bagged Mt. Monadnock. Stay posted for updates to our website of photos and journal entries.
