This week was the other half of the gendered "Coming of Age" trips- the 7th & 8th grade girls joined us for a week of fun, hard work, new skills, and good conversation.  The girls did the same activities as the boys- bridge building, splitting wood, forestry, forging, and archery.  They worked hard, had fun, drank lots of tea, and were a real treat to have around.  This week we also had a big brush fire to gather around, and the girls' last night was spent performing skits based on a bag of random props.  A spirited and enthusiastic group, we're looking forward to having them back again soon.
