We had some computer glitches this week, so we apologize for the lack of photos and regular postings. We're back on our game and promise to supply a steady stream this coming week! The Foxes and Otters enjoyed a campout down at the lake--setting up tents, making dinner over the fire, and going for a swim in the heat of the early evening. The Raccoons paddled down a stretch of the Connecticut River, and the Deer leave tomorrow for the Upper Connecticut on a three-day paddling adventure. Canoeing is an important part of Glen Brook's program, since it teaches good communication skills ("I said paddle right!"), physical confidence and coordination, and is one of the purest American sports, having been developed by North American native peoples eons ago. As we enter the final week of camp, we are looking forward to some moderate weather--it finally rained today after three weeks of scorching temperatures and not a drop of rain.
