Glen Brook's first annual Harvest Weekend was a great success. Fourteen families gathered for the weekend at Glen Brook to harvest the last of the season's vegetables, press cider, and put the gardens to "bed" for the winter. Families shoveled and spread six tons of manure and compost on the gardens; gathered beans and squash; and then put together -- with careful guideance by Chef Ash -- a tremendous feast: bean stew, Glen Brook rack of lamb, potatoes, squash, brocolli, and pumpkin pie for dessert.
