Iron Camper, a rigorous annual event at Glen Brook, involves four sports: swimming, kayaking, biking, and running. Not everyone participates, but the few who do it are heartily cheered by the bystanding campers. For the second year in a row, Eliana won first place, followed closely (only 20 seconds behind) by Finn and Raven in second and third place respectively. The hot weather made for a pleasant swim, and the closely-cropped hay allowed the runners to dash un-encumbered by the formerly-head-high grass. We're down to the last few days of camp, which means tournaments (tetherball, chess, ping-pong, tennis, and archery); Trivia Night tonight (e.g., "How many windows are in the Main House;" answer: 99; and "What's the date engraved on the bronze bell?" answer: 1878); Music Night in the Barn Wednesday evening; and the 64th-annual Banquet on Thursday (all ingredients raised or grown on Glen Brook's farm).
