The weather has cleared! This morning we had three groups of electives: wrangling sheep (using a lariat to catch them so we could trim their hooves); 80s aerobics in the barn (witnessed a few Cindy Lauper-style legwarmers); and plein-aire drawing with Glen Brook artist-in-residence Peter Foster. The kitchen is working on a magnificent lasagna for lunch, while the Foxes enjoyed their blueberry scones - made in cooking class. The Falcons are out caving in New York; the Otters tubing on the Battenkill River; and the Raccoons just returned from an overnight in Vermont. Meanwhile, counselors are preparing Fourth-of-July celebrations. Each camper is part of a team, and all participate and a day-long competition for points: relay races, scavenger hunt, and a campfire and fireworks in the evening.
